Official Player List

The official player list for Pongfinity Cup 2025 has now been published! Please see it HERE.

We kindly ask all registered players to check two things:

1) That you have been registered to the correct class(es)

2) That your Finnish rating/seeding is relatively correct as this impacts the draw.

Please note that we have done our best to provide each foreign player (who have not played in Finland before) a Finnish rating that is as close as possible to the foreign player's projected playing level.

In case you think that your / some other player's Finnish rating is very different to the one estimated on the list above, please contact us at info@pongfinitycup.fi ASAP!

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I participate if I am not a member of any table tennis club?

According to the rules of the Finnish Table Tennis Federation:

Rule Book section 3.8.2.2:

The player must have a Finnish competition license for general competitions organized in Finland, except in the case that he/she represents a foreign club.”

Thus, if you are currently not a member of any table tennis club and you want to participate in Pongfinity Cup, you can either:

1) Register to a table tennis club in your home country and get the membership to a table tennis club that way [EASIER METHOD].

2) Register to a Finnish table tennis club (MBF). We have created a special Pongfinity Cup package:

- Club registration fee to MBF: 30€

- Playing license fee (year 2024-2025) in Finland:

Under 13 years old: 10€

14-18 years old: 25€

19+ years old: 65€

Example: If you are 16 years old and you wish to participate, but are not a member of any table tennis club then the cost for joining MBF and getting the FInnish playing license is:

30€ (club fee) + 25€ (playing license fee) = 55€. Then you also need to pay the tournament registration fee for the playing classes as normal.

You can register to MBF here. MBF will then acquire you the license.

How do I know that my participation has been accepted?

Your registration is confirmed when you have successfully paid your participation.

Once paid, the player's name is added to the official participant list (see list here). When you see your name on the list you know that you have been confirmed to play at Pongfinity Cup 2025.

Please contact us by email (info@pongfinitycup.fi) if there is any problem.

Is there an entrance fee for parents, coaches and spectators?

Parents, coaches and spectators will be able to attend the hall and watch the matches free of charge during daytime.

As for the finals and the Pongfinity video-shoot session on Saturday evening 1st of February, there will be a contribution of 10€ (only for spectators) to cover some of the organization costs for the event in whole. All Pongfinity Cup players will be able to participate in the video-shoot free of charge.

Are there any special arrangements that I should be aware of?

- We will set up a “Pongfinity Cup Welcome & Information Desk” at the entrance of
the Ruskeasuo table tennis hall.

- At the desk, all registered players will receive a Pongfinity Cup identification badge. This badge provides the player free entry to the hall and participation in all the activities during the weekend.

- At the desk parents, coaches and spectators will be able to purchase an entrance ticket (10€) to the finals and the video-shoot session on Saturday evening.
